ORDINANCE NO. 204  

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 182/CHAPTER 155, §155.2.3.400 SECTION (B) (2) (e) OF THE DUNES CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES.

CITY OF DUNES CITY        LANE COUNTY , OREGON

WHEREAS, Dunes City ’s Comprehensive Plan is the controlling land use planning instrument for the city; and  

WHEREAS, a designated Open Space Overlay Zone, whose purpose is to prevent irreparable ecological damage, is applicable to that portion of Booth Island that was unplatted as of 7/13978; and  

WHEREAS, in compliance with the Open Space Overlay Zone,  Ordinance Chapter 155, §155.2.3.400 Section (B) (2) (e) of Dunes City Code specifies, “Livestock, pets, or domesticated animals are prohibited”; and  

WHEREAS, a request has been made to allow confined pets or domesticated animals within the Open Space Overlay Zone, and  

WHEREAS, confined pets or domesticated animals will not cause irreparable ecological damage to the environment; and  

WHEREAS, Statewide Planning Goals do not apply to the proposed change,  

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Ordinance Chapter 155, §155.2.3.400 Section (B) (2) (e) of Dunes City Code be altered to specify, “Livestock, unconfined pets or domesticated animals are prohibited.”
