ORDINANCE NO. 199 AN ORDINANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF FORMING A REVENUE COMMITTEE TO CITY OF 33.001
ESTABLISHED.
A Revenue Committee is hereby established by ordinance for the city to
investigate avenues for obtaining funds for 33.002
DUTIES. The
duties of the Revenue Committee are to: 1.
Draft revenue enabling ordinances. 2.
Write Grants. 3.
Hold monthly meetings.
4. Make recommendations
for adjusting fees and fines annually.
5. Evaluate current
revenue contracts and explore any additional state and federal revenue
sources. 33.003
MEMBERSHIP. The
Committee shall consist of five voting members appointed by the Council,
each of whom shall be a resident of the city but not an officer or
employee of the city. The
Council shall select a member of the Council to act as the non-voting
chair of the Committee. 33.004 TERMS. The members of the Revenue Committee shall serve for a three year term, commencing on January 1 and ending December 31st, except that initial appointments to the committee shall be staggered so that no more than two appointments end in the same calendar year. 33.005
VACANCIES. Vacancies
shall be filled by council appointments for the reminder on the expired
term of the predecessors in office. 33.006
QUORUM. A
majority of voting member shall constitute a quorum. ADOPTED
